About Us

Cardiff Hockey Club was formed in 1988 and the first season commenced in 1989. Starting with men's teams the club grew to include women's and junior teams. Today the club is still going with two women's teams. Whilst we don't have junior or men's teams, our committee would happily welcome a conversation with teams that wish to come across and play under the Cardiff banner.

We are a community‑driven hockey club, dedicated to welcoming players of every age, background, and experience level. We are committed to creating a space where women can discover hockey, return to the sport, or continue playing for life. Our club is built on connection, belonging, and the belief that sport should enrich every stage of life. Through supportive coaching and a strong social spirit, we champion physical fitness, mental wellbeing, and the joy of being part of a team. On and off the field, we celebrate the friendships, confidence, and sense of community that hockey inspires.
